It is so barren here
The trees scratch at the sky
This winter atmosphere
Landscape encased in stone and ice
The terrain yields little hope
But deep within my heart i know
We are so far from Paradise
Where longing tears at tender hearts just like
a vulture
We are so far from Paradise
Exiled to a land where love is fleeting
glances at the future
I reach out just to touch
This creature from my wildest dream
The apparition dissipates
And sorrow fills me once again
But i believe the sun exists
even when it is eclipsed
We are so far from Paradise
Where passions tear at tender hearts just like
a vulture
We are so far from Paradise
Exiled to a land where love is fleeting
glances at the future
My dreams and longing
Are all i cradle here tonight
But wisdom speaks to me
Of beings birthed of hope and light
And some day we will make it right.
